Question Tags unit 6 gr 2.1
Question tags zijn korte vragen aan het eind van een zin (in Dutch: hè, nietwaar, of wel, of niet?), bijv.: You're coming, aren't you? He's not serious, is he?
Als de hoofdzin positief is + , dan is de tag negatief - (met n’t) : It is warm, isn't it? + - They went home, didn't they?
En andersom: You don’t like him, do you? - + The boy never sleeps, does he?
Als je in de zin een hulpwerkwoord gebruikt, dan gebruik je dat ook in de tag: They are far away, aren't they? She can’t see it, can she? We won't know till tomorrow, will we? She’s got a problem, hasn’t she? We must hurry, mustn’t we?
Als er GEEN hulpwerkwoord staat, gebruiken we "to do" in de question tag in dezelfde tijd: tt: You come here often, don't you? tt: She needs some help, doesn't she? vt: He loved his work, didn't he?
