1 INTERNATIONALISERING een aantal vaststellingen en uitdagingen : toenemende internationale context : – de wereld van de jongeren is zeer groot geworden – sociale media, internet …zorgen ervoor dat afstand geen belemmering meer vormt voor contact "vaardigheidskloof" : – enerzijds bijna zes miljoen werkloze jongeren in de EU; Spanje en Griekenland kennen een jeugdwerkloosheid boven de 50 %. – anderzijds zijn er meer dan twee miljoen vacatures, en een derde van de werkgevers meldt problemen te hebben met het vinden van geschikt personeel gebrek aan wederzijds begrip en respect – onbekend is onbemind – we begrijpen elkaar niet meer

2 scholen zijn geen eilanden, maar maken deel uit van onze samenleving. het onderwijs en de scholen moeten ingaan op die maatschappelijke uitdagingen van vandaag via internationalisering kunnen we kinderen en jongeren kennis laten maken met die grote wereld en bieden de scholen hen op die manier meer toekomstkansen. Our pupils are from 4 till 12 years old. In our school there are seven teachers and we all want to join the same project. The youngest pupils want to tell you about our school, the playground and our village. The elder children want to write, and talk to you about our village, the nearest town and our province. 6 INTERNATIONALISERING Cultural exchange through usual words Hello, I invite you to the project CULTURAL EXCHANGE THROUGH USUAL WORDS. It is a very easy project and no time consuming, but the final effect will be nice. I made it in French this year with my colleagues… The idea of the project is to prepare pictures in as many languages as possible. Then we make a display of pictures with descriptions in various languages in our schools. We only have to ask our pupils to take picture about a theme : food, tradition, paint, every cultural theme you think about; and name them in THEIR OWN LANGAGE, one picture, one word WITH CAPITAL LETTERS. We also make a word book with as many languages as possible. If you wish to take part in the project just add me to the contact list and then I will be able to send you the invitation to the project. ECOLE MATERNELLE HILAIRE DUNAND, Irigny, Frankrijk Looking for partners for celtic fairy tales Hello, My name is Laurence Le Coeur. I am a teacher in a French school, “école Arzmael”, near Brest, with 280 pupils between 3 and 11 years old, and 14 teachers. You can see our website on internet (Arzmael). My own pupils are 7 and 8 years old. We are looking for partners to start a project in September 2014 (for one school year). We want to produce "fairy tales", based on our celtic culture, and maybe yours, in pairs. We want to use eTwinning, and skype to communicate, used by teachers and pupils, and to work on ICT too at school. The final story will be a "film" on youtube for example, in French and in English (with drawings made by pupils, and with their voices too). We completed an erasmus+ application to have english training for 2 teachers, so our planning is made (let me know if you want to see the document). Would you like to work with us on this project ? 7 INTERNATIONALISERING Oproep uit Finland We are planning and wish to coordinate a new Erasmus+ project in our school and we are looking for partners. Our theme will be "Learning maths by playing". Our aim is to find motivating, fresh and new ways of teaching and learning maths by playing and integrating maths to arts, handicrafts, physical education,music and IT. We look for a partnership with schools: Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland, Belgium, England, Luxembourg, Norway for a project around the gastronomy and the traditional parties(holidays). 8 INTERNATIONALISERING Projectaanvraag 2014 GO Basisschool de Polyglot, Spiere-Helkijn Places of history Twee schooljaren Basisscholen uit Noorwegen, Spanje, Turkije, Hongarije, Nederland en België Gedurende de geschiedenis hebben een aantal periodes en gebeurtenissen het uitzicht van Europa bepaald. Elke deelnemende school brengt zo’n mijlpaal onder de aandacht. – Turkije - begin van het christendom – Spanje - christelijke, joodse en arabische cultuur – Noorwegen - de Vikings – Nederland - de Gouden Eeuw – Hongarije - revoluties in Europa – België - de Groote Oorlog Het thema kan aan bod komen in diverse lessen ; alle communicatie gebeurt via ICT, maar er zijn ook fysieke ontmoetingen voorzien. Elk land is ook éénmaal gastland voor de anderen.

9 CONCLUSIE Als het GO overtuigd is van het belang van internationalisering voor de volwassenen van de toekomst Als het GO de internationale boot niet wil missen Dan moeten we zoveel mogelijk scholen stimuleren om hieraan deel te nemen. Er is evenwel meer nodig dan een vermelding in publicaties en op de website of het geven van een toelichting op een ontmoetingsdag …. Het GO zal meer moeten investeren in het concreet begeleiden van directies en scholen bij hun eerste internationale stappen. Dit betekent – SCHOLEN INFORMEREN – ZOEKEN VAN PARTNERS – OPZETTEN VAN PROJECTEN – OPMAKEN DOSSIERS – BEGELEIDEN VAN DE SCHOLEN – CONTACTEN MET EUROPESE INSTELLINGEN – SEMINARIES EN TRAINING VOLGEN TEN BEHOEVE VAN DE SCHOLEN

10 OPROEP Zie je hier iets in voor je scholen ? Wil je mee aan de internationale kar trekken ? - geef dan een signaal aan het GO en aan je scholengroep - overtuig je directies dat dit een nieuwe manier van leren is - Laten we creatief zijn en oplossingen zoeken met een win win situatie als gevolg – Onvergetelijk voor de kinderen en jongeren – Leerrijk voor leerkrachten en directies – Positief voor het imago van de school en het GO!
