3 Je hebt deze opdracht naar behoren uitgevoerd als je op een leuke, spontane manier contact kunt leggen met een leeftijdgenoot in een pub of disco. Je gebruikt vaste standaardzinnen, kunt gedeeltelijk herhalen wat iemand gezegd heeft om te bevestigen dat je de ander hebt begrepen Je uitspraak is wel gekleurd door een accent en af en toe spreek je een woord nog verkeerd uit.

4 Situation In a pub or disco you spot someone you would like to get to know better. You think of a good ‘chat up’ line and start a conversation with the aim of making friends or even…?!

6 1)Think of a list of 15 Dutch words that have to do with chatting up a person. Now translate them into English. 7 Assignment You will have to record a conversation between you and the person you are going to chat up. 1)First think of a good starting sentence. You may consult the following page(s) to get some ideas. Click here for chat-up lines that are reasonably decent or here for the latest additions on the BBC fun stuff site! here 2)After having broken the ice, decide which topics are suitable for the ensuing conversation. 3)Round off the conversation in a decent way but try to make an appointment to see the other person again within the next fortnight…
