2 Grafische vormgeving is het visueel vormgeven van ideeën in verschillende media, met als doel om mensen iets mee te delen. Dit vereist de inzet van zowel artistieke als technische vaardigheden. Bij grafische vormgeving wordt zowel visuele expressie als creativiteit nagestreefd in de presentatie van tekst en afbeeldingen. (wikipedia)

Voorbeelden zijn de typografie en graphics in filmtitels, of idents en leaders in tv-programma’s. Door technologische ontwikkelingen actueel. Motion designer is getraind in traditionele grafische vormgeving, maar ook getraind om elementen van tijd en ruimte binnen zijn expertise te implementeren. Motion Design is the art of graphic design within the context of motion graphics such as film, video or computer animation. Examples include the typography and graphics you see as the titles for a film, or the spinning, three-dimensional logo at the end of a TV commercial. Although this art form has been around for decades, the graphics, the typography, and the visual effects within these mediums have become much more elaborate and sophisticated. The dramatic elevation of this art form is largely due to technology improvements. A typical motion designer is a person trained in traditional graphic design who has learned to integrate the elements of time and space into his/her existing skillset of design knowledge. Motion designers can also come from filmmaking or animation backgrounds.

4 Motion graphics are graphics that use video footage and/or animation technology to create the illusion of motion or rotation, graphics are usually combined with audio for use in multimedia projects. Motion graphics are usually displayed via electronic media technology, but may be displayed via manual powered technology (e.g. thaumatrope, phenakistoscope, stroboscope, zoetrope, praxinoscope, flip book) as well. 15 Grafisch ontwerp - Typografie
Geschiedenis van Type en Typografie Typografie, van het Griekse τύπος (tupos: slag, vorm, afdruk) en γράφειν (grafein: schrijven), is de kunst van het vormgeven, zetten en drukken van tekst, zowel voor functionele als esthetische doeleinden. Daarbij speelt de opmaak van tekstblokken, de bladspiegel alsook de keuze van lettertypen, vette en cursieve varianten, witruimte en interpunctie een belangrijke rol. Oorspronkelijk was het belangrijkste medium voor de typografie het boek. Bij formulieren, webpagina's, interactieve cd-roms, reclame-uitingen of waarschuwingsborden is typografie echter ook niet meer weg te denken. Typografie dient rekening te houden met het medium en doel van de geschreven teksten. Deze stellen verschillende eisen voor leesbaarheid en opvallendheid.

His designs were simple, but effectively communicated the mood of the film.

Catch Me If You Can is een film uit 2002 van Steven Spielberg. De film is gebaseerd op een waargebeurd verhaal, geschreven door Jeff Nathanson naar het autobiografische boek van Frank Abagnale Jr.. Zowel de muziek geschreven door John Williams als acteur Christopher Walken werden voor Catch Me If You Can genomineerd voor een Academy Award. Tien filmprijzen werden de film daadwerkelijk toegekend, waaronder een BAFTA Award en een Screen Actors Guild Award (beide voor Walken). Samen met de films Artificial Intelligence: A.I. en Minority report vormt deze film de "Running man"-trilogie van Spielberg. In elk van deze films is iemand op de vlucht.
