4 "sociale bescherming": alle maatregelen van openbare of particuliere instellingen die tot doel hebben de lasten van huishoudens en personen ten gevolge van een vastgestelde reeks risico's en behoeften te verlichten, op voorwaarde dat er geen sprake is van een gelijk­tijdige tegenprestatie of individuele overeenkomst. De lijst van risico's en behoeften waarvoor sociale bescherming mogelijk is, is volgens afspraak als volgt vastgesteld: ziekte/gezondheidszorg; invaliditeit; ouderdom; nabestaanden; gezin/kinderen; werk­ loosheid; huisvesting; sociale uitsluiting, voor zover deze niet onder andere functies valt; FOD Sociale Zekerheid 21.09.07 Sespros

7 Sespros La fonction Maladie/soins de santé couvre: - les prestations en espèces qui compensent tout ou partie du manque à gagner occasionné par une incapacité temporaire de travail pour cause de maladie ou d'accident; - les soins médicaux donnés dans le cadre de la protection sociale en vue de conserver, rétablir ou améliorer l'état de santé des personnes protégées. La fonction Invalidité couvre les prestations qui: - assurent un revenu aux personnes invalides physiques ou mentaux dont la capacité de travail est inférieure à un niveau minimum prescrit par la loi et n’ayant pas atteint l’âge légal de la retraite établi par le régime de référence; - fournissent des services de réadaptation selon la nature de l'invalidité; - fournissent aux personnes invalides des biens et services autres que les soins médicaux.
