Stellingen De sector voor het mijnen van goud verschaft aan veel mensen werk. Echter het toenemen van de vraag naar semi-geschoolde werknemers en de afname naar vraag van niet-geschoolde werknemers, heeft ervoor gezorgd dat het aantal werknemers in deze sector over 10 jaar drastisch gedaald is (van in 1991 naar in 2000). Wat zou kunnen worden gedaan om deze mensen toch weer aan het werk te krijgen (de werkeloosheid is namelijk heel hoog in Zuid-Afrika)?
