Situation You are active in an international students’ organization. English is the ‘lingua franca’. There is a social event every six weeks. At these events you discuss topics that are in the news – the theme this week is ‘what a blooper’. Each of you has selected a news item from the English edition of his or her national newspaper. You come together and discuss your findings. And hopefully, have a good laugh every now and then…
