Assignment: Go to the Mind Publications site to get some hints on what NOT to say (just click on the icon) Now, together with a classmate, make a list of at least six possible opening sentences; Then five possible sentences you could use to express your sympathy. Use the net to search for the right type of expression (good search words are: expressing grief – bereavement - sympathy ). Finally, try to think of three different ways in which you can explain why you cannot attend the funeral, but that you will stay in touch.
