A stay abroad counts as “buitenlandminor” (possibly also to compensate for one or two major courses); so you can use the ECs obtained abroad for your programme here You remain registered in Nijmegen You pay registration fees in Nijmegen you keep your grant (if applicable) You can apply for a refund for your public transport pass You pay no registration fees abroad Accommodation is usually arranged for; HOWEVER… You will have to pay for your accommodation yourself (You can sublet your room in Nijmegen) There is a (modest) grant which will cover part of your extra expenses (guaranteed only for Erasmus+) It will cost you more than a comparable period in Nijmegen; so start saving up! [specific information per destination will be made available]
