3 Je hebt deze opdracht naar behoren uitgevoerd als je zonder veel haperen je rol kunt spelen. Ondanks een afwijkend accent en intonatie ben je over het algemeen duidelijk genoeg om zonder moeilijkheden gevolgd te worden.

6 1)Think up a list of 15 Dutch words/expressions that are associated with broadcasting. Next translate these words into English. 2)Look up the translation of those words you do not know yet. Obviously, you can do this in a conventional dictionary or on internet: http://dictionaries.travlang.com/DutchEnglish http://dictionaries.travlang.com/DutchEnglish 3)It may also be inspiring to use the following site: Http://dictionary.cambridge.org. This is an English – English dictionary. Type, for instance the words ‘broadcasting’ and proceed from there. Make a so- called Word Web (see below). Http://dictionary.cambridge.org broadcasting

7 Instructions (1) Together first discuss the following: 1)What kind of radio programme would you like to present? Make a list of themes and names of possible guests. 2) How long does each guest have to speak? 3)What kind of other information do you need for your programme? Keep it fairly DECENT!

8 Instructions (2) 2) Now together work out lines for the following roles: The DJ (He is the presenter of the programme). Expert (this person is the one who knows a lot about the subject). Co DJ (he or she helps with the conversation but is a little bit against or negative about the subject). Bystander (this person is someone from everyday life he or she will explain how the subject is coped with in society).

9 Instructions (3) Together discuss the following: What is the setting of your recording going to be? so what is the subject? Why this subject? a)What is the result of the conversation going to be? b)Write roles for the various characters as described on the previous page. MAKE A PROPER COPY TO HAND IN TO YOUR TEACHER! c)Find ‘jingles or sounds’ if necessary. d)Now practice. e)Make a cassette recording of your work. f)Listen to it. g)Change what you don’t like. h)Play your recording in class.
