Situation Together with another student, you are going to give a talk in English on a subject of your choice. In order to be better prepared, you are first going to search the internet for more information. You decide to write a short summary, based on various sources, which you can use as a hand-out when giving your talk. You are going to give this talk to non-native speakers of English. Consequently, the type of language used in your hand-out should not be too high-brow….

Assignment: A.With a partner make a list of possible topics. B.Divide tasks: who is going to research which source. C.Make a note of what each of you is going to do. D.Search the internet for more information. E.Make prints of the articles you are going to use. F.Decide which information seems most useful. G.Draw up a plan: -WHICH information should come WHERE in your hand-out. -Select pictures, if necessary. H.Now write your hand-out. When finished, hand this in to your teacher for evaluation. I.N.B.
