3 Inzicht in onze leefomgeving Understanding our environment
Aardobservatie-instrument Tropomi zorgt voor zes keer zoveel gegevens over het klimaat en de atmosfeer dan nu met vergelijkbare instrumenten beschikbaar is. Earth Observation instrument Tropomi allows for six times as much data about the climate and the atmosphere than currently available with comparable instruments.

4 Meten voor maatregelen Monitoring for measures
Vulkaanas is gevaarlijk voor de luchtvaart. Tropomi brengt vanuit de ruimte dergelijke wolken dagelijks nauwkeurig in kaart. Volcanic ash is hazardous to aviation. Tropomi accurately maps these clouds from space, on a daily basis.

15 Klaar voor lancering? Ready for launch?
Tropomi wordt op dit moment gebouwd in opdracht van ESA en NSO onder leiding van een team van Nederlandse experts. De lancering met de Europese milieusatelliet Sentinel-5 Precursor staat gepland voor 2015. Ready for launch? Tropomi - jointly commissioned by ESA and NSO - is being built led by a team of Dutch experts right now. The launch with the European environmental satellite Sentinel-5 Precursor is scheduled for 2015.
