Vakdeskundigheid inzetten =zet verworven kunstspecifieke kwaliteiten in bij het gebruik van een artistieke uitdrukkingsvorm 4. Onderzoeken = analyseren, reflecteren en communiceren over het proces en product 5. Relaties bouwen en samenwerken = kan eigen talent ten dienste stellen van gemeenschappelijk artistiek doel of project 6. Presenteren = toont product en/of proces aan een publliek

Sometimes specifically one art form / expression form. Sometimes possible with expression as a whole: crossovers between art forms, styles and genres. We now see an increasing hybridisation of contemporary art

7 The 6 roles of the artist The professional: stands for the craft, for the control of instrument and technology, of equipment and material. De vakman staat voor het ambachtelijke, voor de beheersing van instrument en techniek, van materieel en materiaal. Hij/zij bemeestert , oefent, verfijnt, draagt zorg, is gefocust en vasthoudend,…

8 The 6 roles of the artist The artist: stands for wonder, sense of beauty, passion and experiment. De kunstenaar staat voor verwondering, zin voor schoonheid, passie en experiment. Hij/zij speelt, schept, verbeeldt en drukt uit, geeft vorm en transformeert.

9 The 6 roles of the artist The researcher: stands for curiosity, for discovery and looking over walls. De onderzoeker staat voor nieuwsgierigheid, voor ontdekken en over muurtjes kijken. Hij/zij stelt dingen in vraag, exploreert de oude meesters én heeft oog voor nieuwe ontwikkelingen

10 The 6 roles of the artist The performer: stands for showing himself to others through a work or one performance. De performer staat voor het zich tonen aan anderen doorheen een werk of een performance. Hij/zij probeert een publiek te raken, en stemt zich af op reacties.

11 The 6 roles of the artist The team player: stands for creating together. De samenspeler staat voor het samen creëren. Hij/zij ontwikkelt feeling voor wat nodig is in een samenwerking, en breidt het eigen palet aan mogelijkheden aan inspelen op anderen uit.

own dreams and desires, experience and knowledge and thus increasingly succeeding in expressing their own unique voice. Het unieke ik verwijst zowel naar de beginnende leerling, die met zijn/haar eigen dromen en verlangens, ervaring en kennis aan het dko begint, als naar de leerling die doorheen het dko-onderwijs er steeds beter in slaagt de eigen uniek stem tot uitdrukking te brengen.

13 The six roles can be seen as an integral whole.
Each of the participants carries all the roles but to different degrees. There are many overlaps and boundaries between the roles. De zes rollen dienen als een integraal geheel beschouwd te worden, mét vele overlappingen en grensgebieden tussen de rollen.
