Nog zaken na te kijken op het facultaire huishoudelijk reglement. De faculteit organiseert zich om dit toe te laten.

3 Responsibilities Faculty
Faculty Internal Regulations. The Faculty of Science is responsible for all matters concerning education, based on knowledge driven research and contributes to the societal debate on contemporary science themes. Waar kan het facultair huishoudelijk reglement vinden: link tonen op website (eventueel bij andere links tonen) Waarvoor is de faculteit bevoegd op gebied van onderwijs? Nog zaken na te kijken op het facultaire huishoudelijk reglement. De faculteit organiseert zich om dit toe te laten.

4 Responsibilities concerning education
the programmes on offer; drawing up the programmes ; organising and evaluating the teaching; offering and evaluating study councelling; organising and controlling the exams; evaluating the exam system; Student matters concerning education; defining the courses that become vacant.

5 Responsibilities FPOC
Members: The Vice Dean (chairman), the Dean, the Programme directors of the programmes Biology, Biochemistry&biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Geology, Informatics, Mathematics; 2 programme directors of the programmes in Kortrijk, 2 representatives of AAP/BAP, 7 student representatives The chairman of the Group Science & Technology Kulak, the academic coordinator tutorial services and educational support, the administrative director, the advisor Quality control and the advisor Educational matters are also present. Invited: Programme directors of the programmes Statistics, Tourism, Space Studies, Medical Radiation Physics, Astronomy, Biophysics, the teacher programme and the PhD courses. Responsabilities: The daily management concerning Educational and Student related matters. Faculteit wordt bestuurd door de faculteitsraad, faculteitsbestuur. Wie of wat is fpoc?

6 Responsibilities POC Every programme has a Programme Committee (POC). This is an advisory organ to the faculty. Members: Some ZAP-members; the programme director, members of AAP/BAP, students, ZAP member of another department, one alumnus. The study track advisor is also present. The total amount of members can be looked up in the Internal Regulations of the Faculty. Responsibilities: The educational committee draws up the Educational Reference Framework of the programme, the programme and the didactic design and submits it for approval to the Faculty Educational Committee (FPOC).

7 Responsibilities Lecturer
For the course the lecturer teaches, the lecturer defines in consultation with the POC: the aims the required previous knowledge the study material the activities(ola) the content the evaluation Complete all of the above in the ECTS-index Proposes changes to the programme director/POC Inhoudelijk aspect wordt gedetailleerder besproken door Inge

Information about (partial) points, form of the exam, papers required, possibility to resit, ….

9 ECTS-index Who can make changes: Support service Campus Management (via Faculty): General, lecturers/didactical team, prerequisites, …. Lecturer: Aims, previous knowledge, category, content, study material, evaluation Approval: Programme Director or FPOC Zorgen dat de toepassing open staat om te tonen aan docenten hoe ze dit moeten doen.

17 Organisation Schedule
The schedules are drawn at the student administration of the Faculty. The schedules for the programmes are based on the model tracks As a starting point the administration takes the schedules from the year before. That schedule is adapted to the requested changes for the new academic year. All questions and remarks can be addressed to:

18 Organisation Evaluation Schedule
The evaluation schedules for January 2015 and June 2015 have been drawn up in the spring of Students know or choose their evaluation moment when they choose a course in their ISP. Consequences for the lecturer: Evaluation schedule is available beginning of the academic year. Last Minute changes are very difficult. Lecturer has to provide a replacement if he/she is unavailable.
