Gaan we uit van bijvoorbeeld 1 miljoen elektrische auto's (in Nederland rijden ruim 7 miljoen auto's rond) en een accucapaciteit van 25 kilowattuur per auto, dan komt men op een totale opslagcapaciteit van 25 miljoen kilowattuur Ter vergelijking: Een elektrische centrale van 600 megawatt levert in 24 uur, bij vol vermogen 600 × 24 = megawattuur = 14,4 miljoen kilowattuur Momenteel staan er in Nederland 2025 windturbines, met een totaal vermogen van 2753 MW, waarvan 228 op zee, met een totale jaaropbrengst van MWh.= 17 miljoen kilowattuur per dag zon is 1000 MW
