General Fare calculation The Central Back Office shall provide an adequate service to calculate the e-purse value of journeys (partially) made using prespecified products. H The value of (the part of) the trip for which the prespecified product was used is necessary for both ABT as well as PS. TLS will provide a service to calculate this value, but this is not a mandatory for the particpants. Various; see scenario's and PoC documents. The value calculated by this service must be identical to the value calculated by level 1 for the same e-purse trip. Settlement risk The Central Back Office shall collect money from source accounts before settling it to destination accounts (i.e. TLS will not run any credit risks). As TLS is settling the money of other parties, TLS must avoid risks and therefore only settles money that could be debited. If the balance in the source account is not adequate, a partial settlement will be performed. Req.PS.008 Product settlement Settlement parties The Central Back Office shall be able to settle the sales amount of a product instance between the Product Retailer and Service Providers. There will be only one method for settling product sale applicable to both prespecified as well as discount products. None. Product Settlement Phase 2 is already based upon this. Req.PS. Settlement basis The e-purse value of the part of a journey which is made using a prespecified product will be the basis for calculating the apportionment keys for settlement of that prespecified product. The Allocation Workgroup considers this the most reasonable way to apportion product sales. This has been confirmed by DOC Req.PS.001 Settlement calculation The Central Back Office shall be able to settle the sales amount of a product instance based on the usage ratio of that product instance at the various service providers. There will be only one method for settling products applicable to both prespecified as well as discount products Req.PS.002 Settlement period The Central Back Office shall settle the sales amount of a product instance after (part of) the validity of the product instance has ended.
