20 LESSONS LEARNED Modesty pays – passer by + find local champion. Work at personal redundance. Can, Will, May – technology and money mostly no problem. Local support (“sustainability will make us loose tourists”) + law most difficult hurdles. Perseverance – need to love the ways of the islands combined with an open eye for island specific opportunities/ appreciate pirate's dna + conservatism (contractor's reluctant to innovate)+ wealthy environment (no crisis). Walk the talk – do as you say, say as you do (Brompton, eat vegetarian but appreciate poached rabbits & eals).u
