In operational mode the motion behaviour would be equal or better as in a semi-submersible; a system which allows to work with a fixed Riser system able to operate in heavy weather reducing dramaticaly the occurrence of operational downtime. High storage area’s to reduce logistical cost and preferably have a relative low Vertical Center of Gravity to maintain stability requirements. DP class 3 classification; large added mass – negligible heave; low overall Vertical Center of Gravity – adjustable by ballast tanks to optimise stability and GM. Adjustable buoyant module in moonpool to reduce and control loads on the toptension system. Ballast tanks: seawater can be replaced by crude oil.
