This is probably the most important competency we will need for developing virtual library services. This is true whether we are working with other librarians, working with colleagues, or working with patrons. The pace of change is so quick that we cannot possibly keep up on our own, nor can we develop all of the skills that we need to build the virtual library. It requires some rethinking of what we normally do as librarians.
