12 MANAGERIALISM (Pollit, 1993; McLaughlin et al., 2001; Mawby & Worthington, 2002) Efficiency en groei zijn de toverwoorden Nadruk op output en resultaten Ontwikkeling prestatie-indicatoren en ranglijsten Nadruk op de voordelen van concurrentie Organisaties lijken meer op elkaar dan ze verschillen Dus vakkennis is secundair. Alles kan ingehuurd worden Combinatie van centrale beleidsvorming met lokale dienstverstrekking Centralisatie-tendens: Afkeer van zelf-sturende teams Loyaliteit aan groep en personen is meer een kwestie van sentiment dan noodzaak De burger wordt als klant gezien, de werknemer als tool (HRM) Geen interesse en inzicht in onbedoelde gevolgen van beleid Er wordt alleen vooruit gekeken (Henry Ford: history is bunk)
