aantal termen door mijn hoofd, zoals: onderwijs en opvoeding management internationale blik grijs en wijs Ter gelegenheid van jouw afscheid ga ik hier kort op in. Hopelijk levert dat bij jou een glimlach en een overpeinzing op………………?

3 Wordt er eigenlijk nog wel opgevoed?
Jij hebt er destijds een mooi boek over geschreven! Samen met Anu heb jij een bijdrage geleverd aan een grote conferentie in het Drentse Provinciehuis (23 juni 2006). Het boek “Wie is de baas?” gaat over vragen en verwachtingen rond de opvoeding. Maar ook op school moet er opgevoed worden, toch?

5 Management Jouw boek “Zelfsturende teams” gaat over knelpunten en
successen bij het invoeren van zelfsturende teams. De voordelen van dit managementconcept zijn dat de kwaliteiten van medewerkers beter benut worden, er meer flexibiliteit en efficiëntie is, medewerkers zich verantwoordelijk en betrokken voelen…… Ik heb het boek niet gelezen maar voor mijn gevoel passen zelfsturing en netwerken als een yin en yang bij elkaar…..

6 Het zoeken in netwerken
Het lijkt wel op draden van een prachtig web geweven door een spin Die de weg niet verliest nog uit het oog laat schieten want zij weet perfect het hoe en waarom Ook in netwerken van werk zoeken is het een gepuzzel niet wetend waar het eindigen zal Maar ze weet exacte wat ze deed en hoe ze begon met overtuiging en moed wist zelf dat ze het ging halen Als ook wij mens ooit de baan van ons leven willen weten vinden Van Google: de dichter noemt zichzelf - tweety-ysje -

7 Internationale blik: Misschien ken je het, maar een aanrader is het boek van mijn ex-collega Han van der Horst (toen ik nog bij de Nuffic werkte), getiteld: The Low Sky, understanding the Dutch. Dit land onder zijn lage hemel, we willen er leven en we voelen ons thuis. Zelfs als we onze nationale vlag aan de andere kant van de wereld hebben geplant en daar gelukkig zijn, blijft de liefde hangen. Niet alleen in woord, maar ook in beeld. Van wie we zijn. Wat we zijn. En hoe we zijn in die dierbare put aan de Noordzee. Zo worden stuk voor stuk de centrale karakteristieken van de Nederlanders treffend in beeld gebracht: het egalitaire, het praktische, het georganiseerde en de koopmansgeest.

In een interview met een internationale student n.a.v. zijn boek zegt Han van der Horst o.m. de volgende dingen: over ons onderwijssysteem: We are a rich country with an innovative economy, but we wouldn’t have that if our education system wasn’t up to the mark. If you compare the education in the Netherlands with the education in a country like the United States, the important difference is that the main financial actor here is the government; that doesn’t mean however that we have a state education system. The particular thing about Dutch higher education is that both the state and private groups offer education up to all levels, and are treated equally. They are both funded by the Dutch government as long as they set certain standards, which have to do with content, levels, but not with religion. So the Netherlands can be used as a very important springboard to Europe. If you come to Europe to study, make sure to travel to other countries; if you don’t, you’re wasting an enormous opportunity. The Netherlands is the best starting point for your studies abroad experience because of the quality content of its international programs and its geographical location on the continent. 9 Dat kan ik natuurlijk wel vinden, maar jijzelf zult het wellicht zo bekijken:

10 Tot slot: Ik heb jou vooral de afgelopen twee jaren
Leren kennen, toen de Masters programma’s van Hanzeconnect weer bij de Hanzehogeschool zelf werden ondergebracht (en IBS verrast werd met 3 self assessment report and visitaties…). Jij was/bent voor mij onze adviseur op de achtergrond en daar heeft Aloys Doodkorte ook een leuk gedichtje over gemaakt……….

11 Vergrijzing Wanneer een mens op leeftijd komt,
Dan is hij vaak vergrijsd, Maar dat hij dan ook wijzer is, Dat is nog nooit bewijsd.
